Job Description

1. Manage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure
2. Install, configure, test and maintain Linux operating systems , application software and system management tools
3. Maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies Linux
4. Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution
5. Exceptional knowledge of networking technologies (OSI network layers, TCP/IP
6. Server knowledge with SVN
7. Remote access knowledge VPN, SSH DHCP DNA, Firewall etc
8. CCNA
9. Proven experience as a System Administrator, Network Administrator or similar role
10. Experience with databases, networks (LAN, WAN) and patch management
11. Ability to create scripts in Python, Perl or other language
12. Familiarity with various operating systems and platforms
13. Install and configure software and hardware
14. Manage network servers and technology tools
15. Set up accounts and workstations
16. Monitor performance and maintain systems according to requirements
17. Troubleshoot issues and outages
18. Ensure security through access controls, backups and firewalls
19. Upgrade systems with new releases and models
20. Develop expertise to train staff on new technologies
21. Build an internal wiki with technical documentation, manuals and IT policies
22. Resourcefulness and problem-solving aptitude
